OUR JOURNEY TO
LCD CIRCULAR ECONOMY
FortuneWEEE's innovative LCD recycling technology prevents hazardous substances from leaking into the ecosystem and sets us apart as the only recycler in the United States capable of extracting and reusing liquid crystals from discarded LCDs, enabling us to achieve a circular economy.
Our comprehensive recycling services, with operation locations strategically spanning North America, allow us to help our partners reduce their environmental impact and liability.

01 -
Extracted Liquid Crystal
Facilitated by our unique LCD recycling technology, we safely extract liquid crystals from obsolete LCD panels, ensuring hazardous chemicals like benzene rings, fluorine, and chlorine are kept out of the environment.
This method significantly improves upon conventional disposal methods, such as landfills and incineration, which can lead to contamination of the soil and oceans, ultimately damaging our ecosystem.

02 -
Reformulated Liquid Crystal
Our circular journey continues with the purification and reformulation of extracted liquid crystals, preparing them for new LCD panel production.
Our advanced technology removes these contaminants without altering the liquid crystal formulation, restoring its purity to the original or higher level.
Our latest 65-inch 8K TV has verified this with 100% recycled liquid crystals, which meets the highest quality standards in the market, proving that our recycled liquid crystals are just as good as fresh ones.

03 -
LCD Glass - w/o L.C.
The industry has sought solutions for LCD panel glass recycling due to its unique properties. LCD glass is a borosilicate glass, requiring temperatures of 1300 degrees Celsius for melting, and cannot be recycled alongside regular glass.
Additionally, it is often contaminated with liquid crystals and other heavy metals. Recycling processes without removing the liquid crystals pose environmental risks. Our LCD recycling technology achieves 100% extraction of liquid crystals from the glass, ensuring safe processing and repurposing of LCD panel glass.

04 -
LCD Glass Sand - w/o L.C.
After extracting the liquid crystals, the remaining glass, now free of hazardous substances, is pulverized into sand ranging in size from 1 to 5 mm.
As a specialty glass, our recycled LCD glass sands offers high durability and superior heat resistance compared to other recycled glass sands.
Adding it to concrete enhances the material's strength and longevity, while using it in building blocks enhances insulation and stability.

05 -
LCD Green Glass Adsorbent
In addition to utilizing recycled LCD glass for green construction materials, we've innovated further by transforming the glass surface into a scale porous structure, which creates a highly efficient adsorbent for heavy metal ions in wastewater treatment.
Our material is currently employed in an electroplating plant, effectively removing heavy metal ions, reducing costs, and preventing secondary pollution. Moreover, we've discovered antibacterial and deodorizing properties in the adsorbent.
Leveraging these, we've developed various functional products, such as green glass coasters, antibacterial insoles, car cabin filters, and more.

06 -
Recycled ABS Plastics
We expand our circular economy beyond LCD panels by repurposing ABS casings from obsolete LCD products. After dismantling, ABS undergoes processing into pellets for crafting new plastic casings for our 65-inch 8K TVs.
With 85% recycled plastics in the casing and LCD panels made from 100% Recycled Liquid Crystals, our eco-friendly displays reduce carbon emissions by 45kg per unit.
This initiate our fully recycled LCDs as we aim to integrate recycled materials into other components like cables, circuit boards, and metal frames.
